About I Can See You

As a proud homeowner, his (he/she or it) tasks are predetermined: not only does he have to ensure that his supplies are always sentenced out, he also has to constantly perfect the defenses, as well as constantly recalculating, reconsidering and implementing the protective measures.
In addition to his tiring but fulfilling tasks, he regularly delights in the wondrous silence of his flat. But he knows only too well how deceptive it is. Suddenly it can be interrupted and everything would be over.

In the further development of the Rroma A.K.T., they founded the “TheaterHermeneutics” project in collaboration with Rebecca D. Surber, in 2018. Using new artistic methods, the project paves the way for shared perspectives and experiences of Rroma and non-Rroma that have not yet been captured in society.
The team deals with existential challenges, including identification and exclusion, and wants to reach the diverse and demanding audience visually, literarily, and atmospherically on an emotional level based on human connectedness.

SInce October 2021, the Rroma Æther Klub Theater has been running the “Grüner Salon” of the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin artistically autonomous, in which they present their own pieces and offer other artists a platform.

Sincerest thanks also go to the Independent Theater Hungary and the Howl Round Team, who supports us with their platform and through which we had the opportunity to take part in the Roma Heroes Festival 2020 with our – for this occasion produced – film “I Can See You”.

“With new theatrical instruments, we want to further develop the transformation of the static situation into a dynamic scene, so that the plurality of the possible can be recognized, grasped, and experienced. In this way, viewers and actors become direct and acting subjects together to create new spheres and perspectives of (common) experience and understanding.
Wouldn’t it be possible for us to be able to break away from the mantle of “the projection surfaces given to us from outside and the expectations of others to be different”?” -Nebojša Marković
