About ENCORE
ENCORE is a digital theatre series and was created during the first lockdown in 2020. Individual fictional characters share their humorous and touching faiths in an intimate one-on-one situation.
Every episode was rehearsed, shot, post-produced and published on the very same day and became a moving diary through the power of fiction in a time where reality didn’t feel real anymore.

“I created ENCORE at the time when the Covid crisis hit our world. I remember sitting in a transitional apartment in Munich because I didn’t have a permanent residence at that time which turned out to be a rather bad choice in a time where you’re supposed to stay home. So I was staying at that rather awful place in Munich full of questions, fear but also hope that things might change. And I had nowhere to channel all these question marks other than into writing. So I tried to catch one thought after the other and get them out there.
Now, two years later, ENCORE is sort of like reading your diary from that time. You wonder how naive you were, how funny, how sad and you get the chance to ask yourself what has changed since then – in the world but also in you.” – Calle Fuhr

About Calle Fuhr (Writer, Director)
Calle Fuhr was born in Düsseldorf, Germany. He was an assistant director in Düsseldorf, Prague (CZ), Salzburg (AUT) and Vienna (AUT). Since 2017 he works as a theatre director and writer. His plays were produced in the whole German-speaking area and translated into different other languages. Fuhr lives in Vienna and is part of the leading team of renowned Volkstheater Vienna.
About The Festival
The Segal Center Film Festival on Theatre and Performance (FTP) is an annual event showcasing films drawn from the world of theatre and performance. The festival presents experimental, emerging, and established theatre artists and filmmakers from around the world to audiences and industry professionals. The 7th annual festival will focus on work for the screen created by theatre artists during the Time of Corona. The festival will be held digitally from March 1st – 15th 2022.
