About Here Moscow Calling

Here Moscow Calling questions our relationship with the past and attempts to recreate the experience of psychological terror associated with totalitarian regimes through a dive into the mind of Svetlana Alliluyeva, daughter of Russian dictator Stalin. The film uses theatre and cinema techniques multiplying perspectives and building tension through what the authors define as “theatre of consciousness”. The camera is both a reveal-er and a hider of the truth in a 50 minutes “discomfort session”.
